 Greetings! Welcome to the Harbor Police Web-site.
I have the privilege and honor to supervise fifty-seven of the most dedicated
and outstanding employees who comprise the Harbor Police Department for the
Port of New Orleans. We currently employ forty-nine commissioned police
officers and eight civilian staff members, all of whom strive for excellence
each day and exemplify teamwork and unity.
Historically, the Harbor Police - Port of New Orleans has
earned the reputation of maintaining one of the safest Ports in America.
However, since 9/11 we have inherited new challenges as we find ourselves at
the forefront of Homeland Security. Our personnel realize the tasks at
hand and they work extremely hard toward meeting those challenges each and
every day.
